Intumescent Acoustic Sealant is a one component high quality emulsion-based sealant for fire retarding constructions. The product will transfer into a foam above +200°C. The product is almost odour free and is not corrosive towards metals. After application the product forms a tough rubber by evaporation of water from the sealant.
Especially for indoor joints where high demands are to be met as a fire retardant seal to prevent the passage of fire and smoke. Shows good adhesion on most building materials like concrete, brickwork, aireated concrete, painted wood, anodised aluminium and PVCu. Perimeter pointing around door and window frames, concrete and brickwork. Joints between floors and ceilings, around pipe and cable work. Also joints in fire retardant constructions in buildings, domestic housing and sea going vessels.
