Mortar Stain Remover and Acid Etch
Brickclean MSR is a acid based brick cleaner and etch. based upon the optimum concentration of hydrochloric acid combined with surface surfactants and inhibitors.
The effective removal of cured mortar and cement stains from brickwork, paving, stonework, tiles etc. Also suitable for use as a acid etch preparation on concrete floors prior to the application of mortars, coatings and treatments.
Brickclean MSR can also be used to aid removal of hardened cement and mortar fro m mixers and equipment.
Mortar Staining: In areas of severe contamination the hardened mortar should removed by mechanical means such as wire brushing, taking care not to damage the surface being treated. On porous surfaces it is advisable to thoroughly damp, with water to reduce suction before the Brickclean MSR is applied.
Brickclean MSR is normally applied un diluted by brush to the surface using a vigorous scrubbing action. On new brickwork it is suggested that Brickclean MSR be diluted before use in the proportion 1 part Brickclean MSR : 2 parts Water. Testing to achieve best results.
NB When diluting always add the Brickclean MSR to the water!
Brickclean MSR should never be transferred into metal containers.
After application is complete Brickclean MSR should be washed or hosed down before drying occurs.
Floor Cleaning and Etching: Apply Brickclean MSR and scrub well into the substrate using a stiff brush or broom.
Allow approximately 10 minutes for the Brickclean MSR to react, thoroughly clean down with clean water and allow to dry. On extremely porous floors it may be desirable to damp the floor prior to application of the Brickclean MSR so that the action is restricted to the surface.
Cleaning of tools: All brushes should be regarded as dispensable.
