Powdered One Shot Urea Formaldehyde Resin Wood Adhesive
Fastform is a powder adhesive based upon urea formaldehyde resin. Fastform is supplied in both bulk quantities and in unique single shot sachet to minimise wastage.
Choice of Grades:
Surebond Fastform is available in two grades . The choice of grade will depend on ambient temperatures.
can be done by either weight or volume. Mixing by weight will give the most accurate and consistent glue mixes. If mixing by weight. Mix 2 parts of Fastform to 1 part of cold water.
If mixing by Volume then 3.5 measures of Fastform are required to 1 measure of cold water.
For both methods mix as follows:
1) Put half the cold water into a non metallic mixing vessel.
2) Add all the Fastform powder and stir until dissolved.
3) Add all the remaining and stir until the mixture is smooth.
The mix is then ready to use. The mixed material will remain usable for approx. 3 hours at 15oC
Placement:
Use a stiff brush to apply the mixed adhesive to one surface only.
Assemble and clamp (Pin or Screw) the joint whilst the glue is wet.
Keep the joint under pressure until set (approx. 6 hours @ 15o C)
A damp cloth can be used to remove excess wet adhesive.
Cleaning of tools:
Tools and equipment may be cleaned using clean cold water before the adhesive has hardened.
