Rate of use guide: 8m² per litre
BCR 350 is a fully cross linking P.V.A. adhesive providing a water resistant bond in line with D3 Classification of BS EN 204
Bonding of a wide variety of timbers both hardwood and softwood in areas where water resistance is required i.e. external joinery, door and window frames, transit packaging. Suitable for use in bonding of sheet materials such as plasterboard, polystyrene and ply.
Also suitable for use in hot pressing of plastic laminate in worktop production.
Preparation:
All surfaces to be bonded should be clean, and free from contamination.
Placement:
Apply an even film by brush, roller or automated machinery as appropriate to one of the surfaces to be bonded. Assemble the elements whilst the adhesive is still wet. (when used with hard and exotic timber a double sided application of adhesive is recommended)
The āopen timeā will depend on the ambient temperatures and porosity of the materials to be bonded.
After assembly pressure should be applied during the setting time and ambient temperature should be maintained at a level greater than 5°c whilst full bond is achieved. The rate of strength gain will depend upon temperature, substrate type, porosity and moisture content. If used in heat cure process the strength development time will be reduced substantially.
